ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    How much is too much???

A quick question for the vets. My 93 LX has 197K on it. I've heard from a few
people that, it's too many miles to risk moding. Not thinking of anything extreme. Just maybe an intake and exhaust. Let me know what you think?

    Member's Ride Thread

Will work for food, car parts, or three stripe apparel. And not necessarily in that order

People are usually ripping on me on spending so much time and effort on my car. They see it as a generic 100k+ car, ie on its last leg. 100k is like the teenage years for cb7's. Even my dad rips on me for spending so much time on my car. He asked me one day. "Why do you work on your car all the time?" I said, "Because I like to." He said, "Well, I like my cigar but I take out every now and then." I don't care if others don't approve!

on the stairs, she grabs my arm, says whats up,
where you been, is something wrong?
i try to just smile, and say everything’s fine.

I just picked mine up with over 241k on it, and it runs real strong. I do plan to rebuild it though, since I don't know it's history. .. Miles don't really matter that much though. If you make sure everything's functioning to spec, then there's no reason for it to run any differently than a brand new engine, even with mods. .. Definitely check EVERYTHING out first though, before you start increasing it's performance, or you will certainly find some 'weak links'.

mine is 217,000 miles and runs very well. I think the only downfall of high mileage is that an auto transmission will break. Mine broke around 175-200k miles. But everything else is 100% ok.

I had a friend who had a 86 Trans AM and it had done a whole revolution on the odometer. (went back to 0000000 miles)
