ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    what the hell

why is everybody doing h22 swaps those things are not cheap whats so bad about swapin a b16 or b18 or whatnot mind you if i had a crap load of money i would get the h22 but prolly just settle with b16

Because they have the same motor mounts? They have the same displacement, I dont see why you would replace a 2.2 liter with a 1.6 liter. And im sure you will get quite a list from other people on here.

because the b-series are not a direct swap. the fabrication it would take to mount the motor wouldn't be worth it. maybe they have mounts you can buy but i don't know. the h-series are just easier to swap. and they make more power stock than the b-series.

it's only because they're one of the easiest swaps out there. It's the most sensible swap for our cb's.

          Hmotorsonline:

          B16A: 160-185hp 1,200 - 3,800 dollars
          B18B/C: 142-200hp 2,200 - 4,900 dollars
          H22A: 190-220hp 1,900 - 3,600 dollars (Type-S is 3,600)

ther's other B series engines, but there's no point in swaping less HP.

lol a B series cheaper than an H haha thats a good laugh....First of all its pointless, Second WHy downgrade as mentioned, Third Your car is gonna be strugglin and aint gonna be "fast", Fourth in the end you will be spending more dropping a B series in than an H series. So basically if you want to throw a 1.6/1.8L into a 2800-3100 lb car its pointless. Look up how much a civic or gsr weighs that should answer why they need such small powerplants to move them. We have heavy cars hence why we need a bigger engine.

everyone isnt doing h22 swaps me and quite a few others on here opted for the f22b dohc out of the JDM prelude Si due to its direct swap and cheap price under 800 shipped to your door with 160 hp and 148 tq

Yes there are other options as in what is mentioned on top or turbo the F. People just opt for the H22A or F22B since its lower mileage Occasionally you have people throwing f20a, f20b, h22 type s and the euro R but those cost a lil more well not the f20a but everything else.
