ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

What make and model do you have. Looks like you have an LX in your sig like a 92/93. SHoulda came with ABS unless it was an option. Personally i wouldnt spend the time to convert it just get you some better rotors, SS lines, and pads and call it a day.

No LX'es came with ABS. If you really want it you have to get a '92 or '93 EX.

I would not bother, non-ABS cars have been around, and they stop, don't they?

Plus, non-abs makes it easier to do brake work. I replaced my master cylinder today, but I would not have been able provided my car was ABS equipped.

Ahh i gotcha didnt know that learned something new. Master cylinder aint bad for an EX i replaced mine a while back didnt take too long. Just loosen the lines and take the two bolts?? off the brake booster if i remember and pull out. Then bench bleed and reinstall. The EX ABS is like a separate module by the look of it when i took my bmc out.

Well, apparently you have to use a different bleeding method to bleed ABS brakes.

I did the normal bleeding procedure nothing special and my brakes worked fine. Got a buddy pumping the pedal, one to dump fluid, and i opened/close the bleeder. Thats all and the brakes feel fine no air or nothin.

Hmm, I just remember reading this warning in the Hayne's manual about it.

The only LXish Model cb7's that came with ABS are the 10th aniversary models, which are considered to be along the lines of an LX.

I wouldn't even bother converting. My ABS light is on right now, which indicates the abs not working and i seem to brake fine. The only reason i would ever convert or fix my ABS would be, because i had or was going to go through a harsh winter...
