ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    Old Question, New Member

Hello everyone. Please bare with me, i know this is an old question, but as a new member I have to ask.. I searched around and didn't find anything on the board itself, but I know it's out there, so again, bare with me. My questions are as follows:

Has/does anyone with the H22 swap bought/used/using an ebay header/downpipe combo and if so, how are they, performance increase, sound and so on? Also the N1 style cat back exhaust they sell on ebay, anyone have experience with that product, sound, performance and so on?

thanks in advance for any info...

    from what i've heard.

ebay stuff is shit. they're that cheap for a reason. the most vivid memory of a complaint was some guy who bought some ebay headers, and they rusted like crazy. along with the exhaust. i'm talking like rust holes in the exhaust. but i might be totally wrong.

somebody...maybe cpmike has ebay headers on his H22. not sure though.

    holler.

the only shit i got for my cb7 on ebay worked fine, didnt work as good as a brand name but for hundreds cheaper, and budjet, not build race but daily driver and not for show, IMO the cheap ebay headers work fine, for the price, its discount for discount quality, but in my past experience with it, no horror stories or rust happenings, it all worked out good

OBX/Megan Racing are the only headers you should mess with...someone dyno'd a 10HP gain on an H23 with an MR header...

Honestly though I don't think the gains will be that much on an H22; from what I know the stock header is pretty good as it is.

Well one of the guys on the board said when i do the H22 swap i would need the down pipe/header to be able to match up with an after market exhaust that's why i am asking about the ebay stuff. also wanted to know how the Tsudo (ebay) exhaust sounded on a CB7....if it's too loud, sound like a fart can, or just right....it's gonna be a daily driver so am not looking for the most hp gain...just nice purrr to the exhaust and decent life out of the parts....

thanks for any additional info and thanks for info already provided.....

They seem like they'd be pretty loud with no resonator...you should go custom with an OBX muffler and a long resonator.

Phempa has Tsudo exhaust, and with silencer in, its about as loud as other exhausts out there, but HELLA loud with the silencer out (which its usually a bitch to get out anyway).

I dont' think you'll have a problem with rusty headers out there in Afghanistan, but as far as that goes, I'd stick with Megan Headers (for the money anyway). Go all out and get Megan Exhaust, I've got it and its actually pretty damn good.
