Brake Upgrades?

I wanna upgrade ma OEM Disc Brakes. Any one have any suggestions that wont breake mah wallet. And oh yea is jus upgrading tha front Disc worth it?

well something like 60-70% of the braking force comes from the front end so it makes sense that it would work better but bear in mind a couple of things.

Your brakes are only as good as your tires since those are ultimately what stop you. Real good upgrade for acceleration, handling, braking is to upgrade the rubber

If you increase brake rotor size then you will slow down your car somewhat. Increased unsprung weight and moving it farther away from the hub will slow you down. Thats why you spin faster when you hold your arms and legs close to your body than when you have them straight out.

Bigger rotors doesn't mean you will stop faster, it simply means that the brakes will support more heat before fading. Unless you are a track rat or race on the street you don't really need the extra thermal capacity of a big brake kit

A better bet would be to change out the brake pads and get some stainless steel braided brake lines, and get stickier tires

Ive got brembo slotted and drilled all around with kvr metallic. The brakes are good, modulation is good, stopping power is decent when your really on them, and work real well when hot and braking from lets say 180-they really grab.brake fade is non existent thus far, and more importantly havent warped. But im looking into this: http://www.powerslot.com/pages/power_slot_plus.html seems pretty simple upgrade.

IF you just plan to upgrade a bit then i would recommend SS lines and some better pads.
