ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

From a roll, autos are just fine. It's off the line that they tend to be slow, since the auto tranny doesn't shift as efficiently as a good driver in a manual car. The driveline loss in the lower end hurts as well.

If you want to increase your top end, make it breathe better. Your motor and transmission are made to have the powerband within a certain RPM range, so you don't need to rev much higher (I wouldn't want to with stock internals anyway!) Still, as you go faster and rev to the higher areas of your RPM range, your car will have some breathing issues. It can only make power with the air it can pump through... so, free up some airflow and you'll see gains!

A good intake, headers, and a free flowing exhaust system (mandrel bends, and as few as you can do... nothing fancy) will definitely help. If you go the supercharger route (probably your best bet) those mods will still be useful.

You might also want to check out Level10 (google em) to beef up that auto tranny of yours. If you do some performance mods to the auto, you'll be more on par with the manual guys. Unless you have a heavily modified automatic tranny, a similar car with a manual transmission will ALWAYS be better (assuming the driver is competent... I've beaten plenty of cars that outclassed me simply because the drivers sucked... and I'm not that great either!)

I dont even know how it could have had that much power even if it was a SE-R because most people can acheive no more than 200 ponies with them. Now if it had an SR20DET swapped into it which I highly doubt....he would have ripped the Honda....I dont know about the benz...a brand spanking new asshole.
