Tranny upgrades For auto?

Maby be dumb question but can u upgrade a automatic tranny. And will a comptech supercharger destroy my J30 Tranny.

You can, i mean, upgrade to what though? 5spd manual conversion or a different Automatic tranny? like F1 auto trans? lol?

and what is j30? Infiniti? or were you the kat who said you have a 6th gen Accord v6? Please be a bit more specific my friend...

A comptech supercharger is insane. How fast do you want to go?

It wont destroy your tranny, but it will accellerate the overall wear and tear...

Yea J30 is a Honda V6 Engine. And by upgrades i mean like a flywhell or clucth or something?

shift kits make the shifts solid and quick, AND cut down on tranny wear

torque converters with a higher stall can improve your launch

level 10 can make it bulletproof

as long as you know there will be accelerated wear, then no....if you think it will be fine and dandy for 200,000 more miles, then yes, it's overkill

the j30 and h22a have different bolt patterns unless i missed something.....if you're running the v6, then you won't be using the h22a tranny.......i think one of the acuras had a version of your tranny that was an improvement over what you have........it was discussed here once

Oh ok. Yea i kinda figured that 200,000 miles will kill jus about any tranny with egine mods. But guess ill jus do a auto to maunal swap

and you'll still kill your tranny prematurely because the manual trannies aren't much stronger unless you spend some money cryotreating it and building it a bit.........you'd come out cheaper blowing up your auto tranny then replacing it later.........superchargers are different from turbos because they are more linear (USUALLY) and SHOULDN'T put as much strain on the driveline....that's why there are a lot more supercharged OEM cars meant for the general public.....pontiac, ford, etc.........

i'd run what i have and build one a bit stronger on the side........or if you have the cash, send a spare tranny to LEVEL 10 and let them build it, and then you should be set for a LONG time to come

ahhh nm i just realized you had a sixth gen i thought you were thinkin bout changing trannies in a 4th gen. Comptech supercharger will put slightly more wear on it. I think checking v6p will help out since there are a lotta sixth gen owners there and they can prob chime in about the comptech supercharger and there experiences.
