Yo,
I just picked up my 93 EXR recently and have a little trouble shifting.
It seems that the clutch doesn't disengage completely, resulting in a little bit of almost-negligible grinding here and there.
Tying into this, I can't seem to shift into first with any ease. If the car is stopped, for example, and I try to shift into first it doesn't go. If I rev up to 3k and then shift as it spins down, no problems. Same thing for reverse except that it's not a clean shift if I shift into reverse while the engine spins down; nasty nasty grinding noise.
I'm thinking it could be something wrong with the mesh system if not with the clutch itself. How would I go about checking the clutch/mesh system, etc.?
