ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

i don't know if it's just me... i always knew our cars were pretty light. and from the information above, a 4 door sedan is ~2777 lbs.
but, on my rear drivers side door jam, it says that the front weighs ~2800 lbs. and the rear ~1000 lbs. and the total on the sticker says ~3800 lbs...
is what i'm reading, the actual curb weight of the car? i looked at it and i was so shocked cause that is one heavy sedan... maybe i'm not getting something?
edit::: and how does the coupe weigh 5lbs. more then the sedan?Last edited by eriemoto.; 04-15-2006, 02:08 AM.

i have no idea about the sticker in the door. maybe it's saying you shouldnt haul more than ~1000 lbs in your ~2800 lbs car

i also read somewhere else where the weights were different and the coupe was indeed lighter then the sedan...

5lbs isnt enough to base anything off of... it could VERY easily be a difference of which one had more gas in the tank or which one had the fatter driver in it or which one was filled with hookers. you never know, either way they weigh about the same so i'm not going to concern myself over it.
the 1000lbs as a towing/carrying weight was a compete guess. post back about it though cause i know these cars are not 3800lbs

well curb weight is defined as: The weight of a fueled automobile with standard equipment but without cargo or passengers. (courtesy of answers.com lol) so those weights above may not be correct curb weights?
yea i'll check up on the sticker later today

Theres only a five pound weight difference between coupes and sedans? Thats nothing. I shit five pounds. But a weight difference is hardly a reason to prefer the coupe. Tell your friend that is he's gonna get a coupe do it cause there cool. Yea, that's a much better reason.PM me if you found this!!

First of all, if he wants a lighter car why the hell is he looking at an Accord?? Tell him to get a teg or civic or something if weight is a concern for him.
And second, that weight you listed is the GVWR.
GVWR=
Gross
Vehicle
Weight
Rating
or the MAX that the suspension is designed to hold. So basically its what your car should weigh with like 4 people in it.
