OK, I've been told that if I put coilovers on that I will need a camber kit. I have also been told that if I go lower that 2 inches, I will need one. I am planning to only go right at 2" or 2". Someone please clear this up!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Camber kit is good.
I have the Ingals on my Lude, and its fully adjustable so it saves your tire life.
If you plan on upgrading the size of rim, a camber kit is highly suggested, -adjustable that is.
oh, coilovers, get ready for a stiff ride...unless its GC's

4. get a camber kit and an alignment

i was on neuspeed sports with koni yellows, no camber kit.
i'm slammed on omni power coilovers, no camber kit.
i don't have camber wear, and i don't have bad handling. i understand that some people CHOOSE to run camber kits. but you are not required to, nor should one feel compelled to. it's simply a choice that i don't make.
it's been said once, and it'll be said here, it's not so much about camber, but about toe.
alignments are needed, but camber kits are not.

it's about toe, not about camber.
i'm anti camber kit. to me, it seems to be more hassle and problems (control arm issues) without a benefit in performance to rock a camber kit then to not rock one.
a good description from a guy i trust about camber:
Originally posted by one ton vipI've also been working on making a simple diagram that shows people exactly why negative camber alone is not truly that bad for tire wear... so far one of my best analogies is to think of your car's wheel as something like one of these ab exercise devices (don't mind the girl)
So to put it simply, if you hold the wheel perfectly upright and straight, it is very easy to push back and forth. Now imagine tilting the top edge a few degrees over to one side (negative camber), you will still be able to roll it back and forth pretty easily. Now, with the wheel still tilted along the vertical axis, move one hand a little bit in front of the other, so that you tilt it on the horizontal axis, and try to roll it. The difficulty you experience is the effect of toe (either in or out). So imagine your car basically having to drag your tire along.. that's the true killer of tires.
Toe alignment has the greatest impact on tire wear. If both front tires show heavy shoulder wear on either the inside or outside edges, check toe alignment. Radial tires, especially on lighter vehicles, tend to develop shoulder wear when toe is out of specifications. The tires may also have feather wear across the face of the tread. When the front tires are toed out, the shoulder wear will be on the inside edges. If they are toed in, you’ll see more wear on the outside shoulders. Underlying causes include worn tie rod ends or a bent steering arm.
absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.

Well if you lower your car even 1 inch your cambers going to be off, you have independant suspension, when the car lowers the top of the tires go in. The bigger the drop the more your cambers going to go negative.
I wouldnt lower your car with out getting a camber kit, Ingalls has a good one.
Also dont get coil-overs, they suck.

Camber kit is a really good idea for 2 reasons, 1 new ball joints and 2 ajustiblity. I droped my car 2.5 in. and I put on SPC Performance camber kit. so if i were u i'd just get the camber kit. FYI, SPC comes with all 4 upper ball joints.Drivin a Yota now, The CB7 is still for sale.
