Recommended shocks?

Hey all,

Well I got these dropzone coilover sleeves from a buddy for dirt cheap and the spring rates are 450F/350R and i was just wondering what kinda of shocks you might suggest I use with these. I would like to drop fairly low, but also I have a budget so if I have to get something that might not be able to handle low drops but will save me some serious coin then I might have to opt for them. Thanks for the help

I have a friend that used KYB GR2s. They're technically stock replacements, but he was quite low for quite some time, and they never blew. Ideally, Koni Yellows would be best... but they're not cheap.

Depends on how low fairly low is. Is its <2" then kyb agx's are good but its 117 for each one, might be able to find them for cheaper. But it >2" like deevergote said the kyb gr-2s are good accord power is runnin those.

kyb gr-2's are stock replacements, and usually aren't the best pick for after market suspension.

kyb agx's off of ebay are 300 shipped for all 4, which is a damn good deal! because they are 4 way adjustable in the front and 8 way adjustable in the rear...i have em' and there real nice!

Koni Yellows are good for drops, but are real expensive.

i'd say the best bet is to go for the agxs...if you need an ebay link PM me.

Awesome thanks for the info. I was thinking about the agx's but i was worried that they might not be that great of a shock, and that i might be looking at something like koni reds or yellows, but its good to hear that agx will be a good solution. Saves me about $300 since koni yellows are a pretty penny. Thanks again

Go with the Tokico Illumina's. Very good product. Good auto-adjustable feature.

full coilovers are the way to go... tein basic dampers are nice... cheaper than springs and struts. but tokico 5 ways are nice. my friends has them in his CD6.

I dont know the ride quality of accord power's car but I know he has 40k miles on them. He has got the gr-2

most aftermarket stuff is good, whether it be koni, bilstein, tokico, kyb.

i have read alot of people having pre-mature failure with some kyb more so the agx.

when i replace mine ill probably go with tokico blues non-adjustable..they work well with lowering springs and are affordable.
