ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

It won't be the first time anybody had to take everything apart again in a clutch-change....
It could be greasy, the pedal might be set wrong, or they may just be the wrong parts!

As topic started said: originally it didn't creep off the hill, then he changed the clutch, and suddenly it does... seems very clear to me that something went wrong somehow...

Your gonna have to take the clutch back out and I am promise you that your pressure plate is bad. I had to take mine back out again and it wasnt fun but I found that the pressure plate that I had in it had a different housing compared to the new one I got to replace it with.I wish I had taken a picture to show you. Take your old pressure plate and compare it to the new one. I mean really look at it. If it aint the same then that can be your problem. That was my problem. I now have a problem free clutch

(remember guys, I'm the original poster, skint, I just forgot my first password and had to re-register)

OK......I was doing some testing today on my slave cylinder by manually engaging and disengaging the slave cylinder piston on the fork to see if the aftermarket slave cylinder was throwing my fork/throwout bearing out of spec enough to allow the car to roll and guess what........

.....my whole freaking motor is turning over!!!!!!!!!! what gives?........I guess I'm having a compression (or lack of) problem.

I did another test, I put the car in 1st gear with engine off and e-brake off as well, the car ever-so slowly creeped down the hill, I put the car in 2nd gear, engine off, e-brake off, and car crept faster down the hill, I put the car in 3rd, engine off, e-brake off and the car practically ROLLED down the hill..............uhhhhh.....this don't look good.

Read my post above. Your gonna have to take the clutch out. Its more then likely your pressure plate is not the correct one

He's already said it shifts fine.
He's already said the engine is turning over when it rolls down hills in gear.

Why do think the pressure plate has anything to do with it rolling down a hill?

right. It could be a bad pressure plate, but if the engine is turning over, the pressureplate has to be OK!
Do a compression test on your engine and you will know for sure... If you don't have a compressiontester you can also check by holding a thin piece of cloth near your exhaustpipe. If it gets sucked in instead of blown out, you have a problem. ofcourse if it does get blown out, you might still have a problem, but you can only tell with a compressiontester on your sparkplugs.
good luck! (maybe it's not as bad as it seems to be.... after all, your problems started when you changed the clutch..... why would the engine suddenly go bad..?!)
