ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

well for me its the thermo, Im finally about to go out and do it RIGHT now! Spring break FTW!

My lower hose is very cool to the touch even after 45 minutes of highway driving, and I have to kepe the heater on full blast to keep the engine from overheating

Success! Got a thermo for $12, gasket for $4. took the upper hose off, but it turns out that ours is on the bottom hose.

the upper gasket got ruined, was already bad, so now it leaks slightly at the bottom, I will have to get another one tommorow.

anyways the install was easy, a lot of coolant came out, but I just let it drop.

put the new thermo and gasket back in, stock is ratet for 180 degrees, I got one for 195 degrees.

east to put back, tighten everything up, and replaced the lost coolant with some 50/50 mix.

drove around for 30 minutes, and let it idle for a few minutes and problem solved!

if you knew about my problem before, my upper hose got hot, lower hose was cool, and after about 10 minutes of driving the needle went near red and I had to turn the heat full blast to keep the temps under control. this was even when the weather was -20!

this was ok in cold weather, but now its getting nice and warm and full blast heat is murder!

anyways I drove around, gunned it a few times and the temps were fine!

also my fans finally came on by themselves again! I thought they were messed up, but luckily they aren't.

Feels good to solve a nagging problem.

Now I just need to bleed the coolant properly.

        where is the bleeder bolt?

On top of the thermostat housing. It's 12mm.

          ...adjust accordingly
