ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Now I'm curious, (this is probs gonna sounds insane) fabricating a system where there was two filters that lead to either side of the fenders do anything? I guess a dual CAI

It would be interesting, but ultimately pointless. I don't imagine it would do anything for power gains. A short ram is the best option unless you don't want a filter in the bay.

A couple years ago I came up with plans for a pressurized CAI that would feed from the passenger side of the upper grill (the one with the "H" in it). I wasn't planning on keep A/C at that time and had the dimensions already measured out for a custom radiator. Ducting is easy enough to come by and all you'd need is a enclosure for the filter (or you could just duct it at the filter but you'd gain more while moving if it was pressurized).

The issue with that is that the front of the cb is fairly aerodynamic. Unless you can ensure such a duct would be an effective scoop, it'll essentially be in a vacuum. If you can get a genuine ram air effect, it would indeed be useful at speed.

The intakes are actually right behind the right headlight in front of the battery. If you want it to pull from "inside" the fender, you would have to remove the intake resonator.

Given the number of bugs large and small I clean off the upper part of my radiator I'm sure that enough air is pulled/forced through the upper grill. Anything directly in the front of the car is going to be in a high pressure area so introducing an area of vacuum there (in the form of an intake pulling air) is going to be effective. I never tried it but the theory is sound.

Maybe a hood vent going into a flipped LS style intake. Like the Corvette ones.

just cut a a hole in the hood and have the cone filter stick out

                    Honestly haha
But jokes aside, unless you're cranking crazy power, a hole in the hood is just gonna look plain silly
