ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

cali ecu vs non cali ecu for f22b dohc

hello i just finished my f22b dohc & 5 speed swap! got to say i really like it!
Iam currently using a PT3-L01 ecu i also have a pt6 out of a auto both from cali.

Would i notice a difference in a non cali ecu?
I really want to get the motor tuned and in the market for a chipped ecu
I'm from Peoria AZ if anyone has any referrals on where to get tuned or where to pick up a chipped ecu that would be awesome!

here are the picture of the ecu i have. first picture is the one im currently using the second picture is the ecu the was in the car originally when it was auto

You need either a P14 ecu and run a knock sensor (H23A1), or a P39 ecu which is the JDM ecu for the F22B DOHC.

Ideally, you want a P39. The P14 will not run the engine correctly (it's debatable which is worse... P14 or PT6... both aren't likely to do harm, but neither is correct.) The F22B DOHC has a dual stage intake manifold, like the F22A6. The PT3 ECU does not control that.

If you want it to run properly, get the correct ECU. It will run better than any custom tune could ever do, and it will be a fraction of the cost. A good custom tune isn't cheap, and a cheap custom tune isn't good.

Also, the negative effects of an automatic ECU are negligible. That's not why it wasn't running as well, I assure you.

Yes. Though the fact that they list it as an Accord ecu is a bit unnerving. It's a Prelude ECU. What is pictured is what you need, though.

Go see Joe @ Locash Racing in Phoenix. I think its 40th St. and University

He was able to adjust the parameters on my P13 ECU on my H22 swap.

              -Lowered VTEC engagement to 4500
              -No speed limiter
-added some part throttle map to give me better highway fuel economy
