Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    cb7 h22 cranck no start

    Hi.

    I am having troubles with my cb7 with h22 swap. Car runs fine over 2 years. Today I was trying to start it, But it just keeps cranking. After several attempts the car started with huge cloud of white smoke. It idles very rough and after few minutes the smoke stopped. Took it for a ride and it runs horrible!! it creates very loud sound while accelerating (like gunshots ). Now the car is difficult to start and if it starts it idles crap when you take your foot of the pedal it will shut off. Any ideas!

    Engine: H22 stock 5 speed
    ECU: P13 / tried my buddies p28 chipped same

    White smoke is burning coolant. Sounds like your head gasket called it quits.

      Where exactly is the white smoke coming from? Under the hood, out the exhaust? My H23a1 smoked out the intake before, because a coolant temp plug broke, go figure .

        It came from the flex pipe and exhaust

          Then I would agree with Deeve on the head gasket being a likely suspect. Check you coolant to see if it is low, and check your oil to see if it has coolant in it. Last time you drove it did you happen to notice if it was trying to overheat or anything?

          And also another guess would be maybe an O2 sensor going bad and the car just dumping fuel in it??? That one might be far fetched though.

            I don't think it would be the O2 because I tried my buddies p28 chipped with O2 disabled. The car never overheated on me but i'll check the coolant today
