ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

New to me CB7 - couple questions

I got a 92 EX with 299,000 miles to replace my 93 that I totalled in October. So far very happy with it, very unmolested and original.

I have ABS code 12, pump motor circuit failure. Is there a common cause for this? Replace the pump?

The car feels weak at WOT. There's actually more power at partial throttle and then at WOT it gets sluggish. TPS? Clogged cat?

The only thread I found with ABS code 12 is this one, and the OP is asking about disabling ABS, not fixing it.

This thread is the only one I found regarding WOT and bogging which has a few good suggestions and a lot of arguing:

ABS codes in general don't seem to be very common. I would assume the only real way to fix your problem is to replace the pump.

        Regarding the sluggish feeling...
Is your check engine light on? Have you done a tune up? Have you set your base ignition timing correctly? Have you checked your spark plugs for any sign that the engine is running poorly?
TPS and a clogged cat are potential causes, sure... but nothing can be said definitively without proper diagnosis.

In the future, please post your questions with a descriptive title. This site is intended to be a searchable database of information. Nobody is searching for "new to me" or "couple questions". Therefore, any answers given in this thread will likely never help anyone but you. That's not how this works.

Yep, my fault, I know better than to do that.

Will go ahead with the tuneup and timing belt job and see how it responds afterward.
