ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

hub assembly and brakes off cl3.0

i was wondering if the acura cl3.0 hub assembly and brakes would fit on my wagon. after searching around i found an interchange page on here that said the cl would but wasnt sure if the 3.0 would work because the cl axles would be from the 6cly and not the 4cyl. has anyone on here ran the 3.0 hubs and brakes on the cb9/cb7 suspension with stock axles from the f22a6? i want to run the rotor over hub set up. any help would be appreciated.

Yes, they will fit perfectly fine onto the axles. Do you plan to just buy the hubs themselves, or have you found the whole knuckle at the junkyard?

actually i am parting out my cl because of body damage and busted transmission. i was planning to get what i can off the car before i scrap. i had actually ordered lowering struts and springs for the cl that hasnt been installed. didnt know if they would work either or if i was just going to sell to get money for the strut/spring for the wagon. just getting the parts together and a game plan so i can do a build thread.

If that's the case, use the entire 3.0CL knuckle. While you're scavenging parts, grab the front and rear sway bars and brackets from the CL, as well.

And this may be more work than it's worth, but if you a 5-lug swap is ever in your future for this car, you want the rear knuckles, too. The Prelude hubs used to do the 5-lug swap won't fit on the wagon rear spindle.

thanks jarrett. that helps me out alot. i have seen threads about upgrading the sway bar and the benefits but now thats a go. sometimes it hard to know if someone knows or is guessing but i am checking your build on the coupe and have no doubts in my mind! lol that car is clean. a motor swap will be in my future. now im only showing 104,xxx on the dash. she runs pretty decent. what about the shock/springs that i have for the cl? should i sell or will they bolt up?

Sorry, I meant to post about those, too. To answer your question, yes, they will fit. However, you should concern yourself with quality here. Without knowing what brands you purchased for the CL, it's impossible to know how well they're made and whether they're worth putting on the Accord.

the 3.0cl knuckles will increase the amount of negative camber on the front wheels.

so would i need to get an upper control arm with camber kit or just adjustable ball joints for the stock control arms to help correct. i probably wont lower when the swap is done unless i decide to keep the spring/strut combo that i have for the cl.
