Hey guys!! I bought a 93 lx and it had bad transmission computer ,you know the one problem where you have to constanly need to unplug the negative to reset it??? If not you have to put it on 2second?? That sort of thing..well my friend gave me one but he doensnt know the year of it or the model i mean it works fine i guess but the (d light) dont come on!!!! How can you find out if you have the right one????? Where do i look is there an specific number for my lx... By the way im new here,, is not the first cb i own but my previous cb i never had problems like this and they where manual....

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Pull the cluster, replace the D4 bulb (assuming it's a 92-93, and does not have the S light in the dash... it has an airbag, manual seatbelts, and no "sport" button on the shifter, right?)
You need the D4 light to be functional to be able to pull the error code that it is surely throwing. The problem is likely not with the TCU. In fact, I'm sure that's working just fine. Something else is wrong, and you need to be able to pull that code to identify it.

i have learned from experience that if you're cb7 is a 92 , 93 and the tcu is 90 to 91 the d light will not ligh up ( even if light is good ) . you're best bet is fined one that has matching codes on the front . another thing to consider is rebuilding the old one witch cloudasc has a thread on .
