ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Intermittent wipers

hello has anyone had the intermittent wipers stop working? It still works on the other 2 speeds. I wasn't sure if there was a relay or a module that controlled these. combination switch has been replaced My car is a 91 lx sedan autotragic

There is an electronic control box located in the interior fuse box. Try replacing that.

Is that the icm? could that be the reason the turn signal portion of my corner lights don't work. They don't come on by themselves but if you have the lights on and pull out the bulb and put it back in they stay lit until you turn the lights off or try to use the turn signals/hazards, then they go dead. Never seen anything like it. Also replaced hazard switch, relay, turn signal/light switch, sockets, bulbs. Haven't seen any CB7ers with this Particular problem or for that matter on any car ever

        Yes the ICM.

That is weird. I don't think the ICM controls that, but I won't discount it. Judging by the things you replaced, you could have faulty wiring somewhere.

I do believe that when this happened to me, the fuse controlling the lighter socket etc was out. Only intermittent was out, other speeds worked. I would check your fuse box first.

Yea its had me scratching my head for a while now. Been like that for over a year now since I bought the car. When I got it every single ground was loose, climate control and radio stayed on 24/7, power locks didn't work, antenna didn't work. The door chime would have a spaz attack and play me a little song randomly while driving. Basically nothing but the engine worked. I have since fixed all the electronics exept the wipers and those corner signals. The passenger seat belt has a mind of its own. It likes to wait until people are half way seated and then try to take them out. Its funny to watch. Driver side motor is dead but I just unclip it. Ill get around to replacing it eventually. I'm gonna go to the junkyard tomorrow and get an icm or 5 and see if that fixes anything. I've been over pretty much the entire harness and see no problems. As a tech of 9+ years Ive never seen any lights like this. Either they work or they Don't, but of course wierd old Honda problems don't have to make sense. Anyone that says cars don't have a soul hasn't owned a Honda from the 90's

The new ICM fixed both the wipers and the turn signals. Thanks for the help! I guess it makes sense, something has to make them flash the opposite from the other ones. The chime also works now!

Nevermind about the alternating part. I see that they flash with the others. I didn't snow because mine never Worked before. Again thanks for the help

Glad you got it fixed, I was unaware that there was a ICM that controls them. I learn more about these cars everyday.
