Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    6th gen to 4th gen seat cushion swap

    So I know the 6th gen seat with rails bolt in but if your like me and you don't want the added weight of the power seat rails on almost all leather seats found on the 6th gen accord then you will be looking for a way to keep the stock non-power brackets/rails.

    My question before I buy some leather seats is it possible to take just the cushions from the leather seats on a 6th Gen accord and put them on the 4th gen accord rails/brackets?

    I searched and didn't find a single reference to do this.

    Look up "seat pan swap" on various forums. Pretty common between civic/integra seats, but it all depends on how similar the seats are to each other. Not sure if anyone's really done it with Accord seats yet.

      I cant give you a definitive answer, but if we look at the pictures below we can see a few things. The side mounting points appear to be close enough that modifying them may not be too difficult. If you search on ebay for used seats, you'll be able to see different angles of both chassis brackets.

      Sorry for the large pics, I got them from ebay listings

        Sweet thank you for the pics exactly what i was looking for!!! Had searched on ebay but couldn't find much. It does look pretty close so think I'm gonna go for it. I'll update with what I find out. Found a complete SE at a J/Y that someone had swapped in cloth seats but everything else was still there and with leather door panels and rear side panels so going to go grab a bunch of stuff from it.
