ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

That's a good price. I had a oem exedy clutch in my ef and I beat it hard, launching, speed shifting etc. And I just bought a exedy clutch for my cb7 just break it in Wright and it will take a beating for a long time

Unless you are making enough power to justify using that clutch, there is absolutely no benefit to having it. A more aggressive clutch will only eat away at the friction surfaces faster, and put more strain on the transmission with harsher engagement.

Use a clutch that is appropriate for your power output. No more, no less.

Also, I fixed your thread title. In the future, please be sure your titles are descriptive, or you will find that your threads get deleted. This site is intended to be a searchable database of information. Nobody is going to be searching for "is this a good buy?"

I would recommend the Exedy OEM clutch and a resurfaced flywheel if your car is stock or nearly stock. This would apply to an H22A swap as well, only your Exedy choice would be the one intended for the Preludes that had the H22A.

There is no need for a more aggressive clutch than necessary.

And you did not find an Exedy stage 3 clutch kit for an F22 or any other compatible clutches for other engines. They do not exist. Exedy makes a Hyper single but it is not a "clutch kit" and it's not ever been marketed as a "Stage 3" because it isn't. And on top of it all it runs about $1300.

I have been following you closely for the last little bit because I think your full of crap. You made a thread about your block with a gouge in it then deleted it. You then turn around and make another one and all the details have changed. Not to mention the whole time you don't know what you should know if you were really doing what you said you were.

I know what you said in the now deleted thread and it doesn't coincide with what your telling in the more recent thread you have currently. And now you make this tread in which you claim to find parts that don't even exist. I'm calling your bluff.

If I'm wrong then so be it. But I would rather be wrong then watch you run around making members of this forum take time and effort responding to fake questions.

Just get an OEM Exedy. I just replaced the stage 1 in my H22 coupe with a factory Exedy for about 145. The only difference I see is a slightly lighter clutch pedal.

the OE Exedy's handle 191 ft-lbs of torque, which the H22 is rated at 161.

No need to have a uber stiff and beefy clutch with a bone stock engine.

Assuming you actually found this kit (for the H22) and can actually buy it for that price, I would but it and sell it to somebody who is running serious power... However when that person realizes that it's not genuine be prepared for them to find you, and destroy you... That price is just too good to be true

                  That makes no sense.
Also, there are plenty of low quality "performance" clutches for that price, and considerably lower. Nobody is going to get "destroyed".

Also, the clutch system is hydraulic, so the pedal feel really shouldn't change when you replace the clutch. Even a stiffer pressure plate (which is what makes a clutch pedal feel stiffer, not the "stage" of the clutch) isn't likely to make a big difference. The hydraulics do the heavy work. That's why they're there. In a car with a cable clutch, it's a different story.

Anyway, as said before, and as anyone with a brain will continue to say... you only need a clutch to handle your engine's output. Nothing more. No gains are to be had, and anything more than you need is just going to wear out more quickly and cost you more money. Buy quality. A cheap "stage 3" is going to be lower quality than an OEM Exedy.
