ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    what ECU can i use?

in my 92 cb7 ex with an f22a1 5 speed idk what ecu i got. my question is if i just put a different ecu in my car will it add power? if so what ecu will plug in to my car no problem? there is a couple guys around here with po6 obd1s and p75, p72, obd2s i just wanna know and how do i tune it? any info please help.

are you sure you have an f22a1 in that?? I've been told the ecu's from the 3 gen prelude S, will work. I think its a p13 or something like that. Dont quote me on any of this. The reason I ask about your engine is because I thought all EX models either got the A4 or the A6 .
For the love of god, STOP putting H.I.D's in stock housings!!! Projectors ONLY!!!

I understand you are excited about modifying your car, but the search feature is your friend you are asking questions which the answers are readily available already.

The P12 ECU from the 1992-1996 Prelude S is compatible with your vehicle, however it is not "tuneable". If you are looking for something you can tune later down the line you might want to invest in a P06, P28, P72, etc.

          Note:

If you purchase a P06, P28, P72 etc, ECU it will need to be chipped and tuned before it will run your setup.

In my opinion there are no ECU upgrades that will give you any substantial gains on a stock engine.

Start increasing the amount of air/fuel going in and exhaust coming out of the engine, and you will require a tuneable ECU.

You keep asking questions that are answered in the thread you said you read.

As stated, the P12 is the only thing that will give you any gains. You MUST run an ECU that is properly tuned for your engine. The P12 is an oddity, as it is also tuned for the F22A1 (like the PT3 that you have), but the tune is more aggressive, giving an additional 10hp or so.

If something says a modification works for the F22A1, it will work for YOUR F22A1. All F22A1 engines are absolutely identical.

If you don't understand something you read, and require further clarification, feel free to post and ask a question. Explain what it is you do not understand, and we will clarify. Furthermore, it will allow me to tweak the posts you're referencing to make them more easily understood.
If you just keep asking every question that pops into your head, or posting "just to make sure", you're going to very quickly annoy anyone that can actually help you. Those that remain will likely be no more knowledgeable than you are. There are PLENTY of people on here that like to repeat "facts" that they've neither proven nor understood before spreading them. Many of those things are completely untrue.
Worse yet, if you catch the attention of a moderator who thinks you're just making as many posts as you can in order to escape the beginner forums, you'll find your post count reset.

Ok lol sorry again I didn't mean to upset you. Or anyone else. I thought it was against the rules to post a question on somebody else's question or thread.

It's not, though we encourage you to make new threads rather than digging up old ones. However, if you're going to make a number of new threads just to ask questions that are very clearly answered in the thread that says "READ HERE FIRST", after 1) being told to read that thread, and 2) saying you DID read that thread... it gets old. One can only assume that you are either trying to whore up your post count, or that you're simply looking to be spoon fed.
It is my job to make sure this forum runs as intended. Right now, you have 14 more posts before you're able to post in the rest of the forum. Stuff like this would irritate far more people than just me... and they won't be as nice about it.

actually i am basically trying to "be spoon fed" cuz i know looked at all of the threads. the only thing is that it doesnt come in as clear as it should to me. so before i read it again or another one i jump the gun and post a question. i aint trying to "whore up" in my posts. but ill from now on doubl check everything before thinking of starting a new thread sorry fellas lol
