ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Clicking sound coming from master cylinder.

    It only happens when im stopped. Or at least I havent heard it while im moving. It only happens sometimes. Whenever im stopped and I press the break I hear this really weird clicking noise. Today wheb I got home, I put the car in park with the engine on and put something heavy on my break to hold it down. I popped the hood and I could hear the clicking coming from the master cylinder. Does anyone know what causes this or how to fix it? The last thing I want is to be going down the road and have my breaks go out.

    -93 accord ex. Completely stock.

    Is it a single click, or repeating clicks?
    I've never heard of such a thing. The only thing I can think of is maybe your ABS system is acting up. That's the only thing in any CB7 brake system that would make a clicking noise.
    How is your fluid level?

    Also:
    Break = to damage something.
    Brake = a stopping device.

      Fluid level is good. Lol sorry on the incorrect spelling of "brake," I just wasn't paying attention. Anyway, its a repeating click and it doesn't do it all the time. It seems more so when the car is not wamred up but it is still very random.

        Is there any way you could capture it on video? I can't really envision what you're describing, and I don't want to point you in the wrong direction with a guess based on how I imagine it!

          I will try. Like I said, its random. I was lucky to catch it today when I did. I'll see if I can go out and make it do it.

            Remove your ABS fuse.

            Does the noise still occur?

              Sorry, it has been a while since I've made it back on here. Next time I hear it I will try removing the fuse. If I do remove the fuse and it stops making the clcking sound, what, on my ABS system, should I diagnose next? Thanks for the info!

              Slightly off topic, but I finally got my new motor mounts in and damn, was that a chore! :P

                Motor mounts are fun! Especially the rear one.

                Try to pull ABS codes to narrow the problem down more. The ABS system in these cars is very complex compared to today's systems. It is spread out in multiple sub-systems in various places in the car.
