ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    Factory Alarm option?

So my car had the factory alarm installed at some point in 90/91. Problem is it doesnt work, missing key fob etc. There are some toggle switches and some wires hanging down with fuses in them that get very hot. Basically my question is: Anyone ever removed this alarm? If so, is it a difficult job?
Also there is what appears to be the factory box for the inferred key fob thing under the seat, with antenna lol. I know its a factory set up because i have the manuals in the glove box, and that thing under the seat says honda.
Really want this out of the car, my feel are always hitting the switches that hang down.

    Thanks.

    If me...

I do my own clifford pager alarm hookUp. The factory system have few wires tapped, what i'll do if the fob key replacement cost to much, i'll start from the system box under the seat, follow the wires to the ignition & relay. Those are the only major wires that'll cut your fuel.

The factory alarm is designed to be a plug-and-play setup into your original wiring harness. Everything will remove as long as you take the time to unplug all of the plugs coming from the alarm harness and reconnect the chassis harness plugs back together. It takes me about 5 minutes to remove a factory alarm from a car in the junkyard.

So I took the factory alarm system out today, and, well...it was in fact very easy to remove. No more random 1980's technology hanging down on my feet. Someone had previously started to remove it and got as far as the LED and toggle switches. Then just tucked it up under there and it was constantly falling down on my feet while driving. Annoying! Anyway, I think I might keep the set up and get a new key fob made. I like to keep it old school and original. But not entirely sure yet what direction I'm going with this car. I also have a factory cd-player I'm going to put back in i think.

I do have a few questions, my power door locks havent worked since I got the car. I thought maybe the alarm had something to do with it. I can hear a relay for the lock in the door, but thats it. While removing the alarm I noticed one of the plugs said door lock on it. But the factory one seems to have no location?

Then there is this plug on the pass side kick panel. do these plugs have anything to do with the power door lock? or are they simply there for alarm installs?

I would love it if my power door locks could work. Thank you.
