ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    over heating problem

Sup guys, my car has been overheating.. it starts.. takes a lil to heat up and the temp shoots all the way past hot.it started doing this after I took out my cluster and changed out some bulbs..(b4 that my temp gauge would stay on cold while on the freeway n go up when stopped as stated in 1 of my previous threads) All the plugs looked fine b4 I put everything back together..i changed the temp gauge sender and the thermostat and that didnt work. Any1 know where I should go from here? Would bleeding the coolant system solve the over heating? Thanx in advance,

Its always good to bleed the coolant, Check your Thermostat and see if it has gone bad.
I had that issue, changed the therm and flushed the cooling system and it works like a charm now.

Haven't been on here n a bit but its still doing the same thing after bleeding the system. .. Shooting up past hot but what im wondering is can it even over heat from a cold start in literally like less than a min? And then I turn it off and turn it back to on position and it shoots right back up before I even start it? Im thinking its my cluster thats bad but not sure,

Temperature sending unit is malfunctioning or wiring is bad. I would triple check it.

Cuz I changed the sender for the gauge already so now I would just have to change the other sensor that's next to it right? Which would be the engine coolant temp sensor

Not yet, what happens when you unplug the one wire sensor? Does your gauge move at all?

No it doesnt move when its unplugged, could the cluster have gone bad cuz I didn't disconnect the battery when I removed it or is that okay,

I believe your thermostat failed in closed position. Change it and retest. It is easy to change and inexpensive.

That's fine, as long as you didn't short any connections you should be good. I have to look and see what my car does when it is unplugged or what the service manual says.

This sounds like a bad sensor to me. Less than a min? Your car isn't even warm yet. When you disconnect the red wire, nothing happened so that's good. Does your radiator fan kick on?

No it doesn't click on, should it come on right away when I start it?
