ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Will H22 auto trans work with 91 tcu?

As the title say was wondering if an h22 auto trans will work with my 91 f series auto tcu? Otherwise I will just run another stock auto trans. Too expensive to switch to manual and it's my wife's car but I plan on boosting later. I know they bolt right up but I wanna make sure that the tcu will mesh with this. Couldn't find anything based on this search. Also as stupid as it sounds the sport mode button makes this car kick ass to drive.

I have an h23 trans and I ran the stock Tcu and it shifted like hell and didn't want to ever downshift. Just today I switched to the h23 trans ecu and it shifts smoother and will downshift when I boot it in the ass:

The TCU tells the transmission to shift at a certain RPM. It should work, though it won't make the best use of the transmission's gearing.

It should "work" but the way that the trans is geared as compared to the factory one is going to blow. Because your TCU will cause shifting problems. well not "problems"

So get the TCU that goes with the trans. Good to know. I'll see what I can find then make my decision.

The best TCU to use would be the one that matches the rev range of your current motor. So in your case it would be better to stick with your Accord's TCU, otherwise when you WOT, the H22/H23 TCU will not shift when you hit redline of your motor.

I'll have to find out what the shift points are for a h22 trans then and see what they are vs my f22 redline. Mine is about 6200 rpms iirc. And I think an h22 is around about 6800. Unless I throw a bigger cam in

The TCU will be configured for different gearing, therefor shifting early/late and possibly downshifting sporadically.

The TCU will shift at a given RPM.
