ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

1990 NEED PowerSteering Help! End this Chaos!

So i purchased a prelude line for years 93-96 I was pretty sure awhile ago, Finally got to putting it on. Hooked into cb7 bent it to spot. Hooked the h22 pump that came with my 96 JDM H22A got belt tight and realized hose has different fittings?? Right now Im using f22a pully. What do I need to have power steering again? I want it back badly.. Different pump or hose? Road around my area are ripping me everywhere on the road.

Sorry, I was mistaken. You need an OBD1 H22 pump and bracket.

You need the same hose for what ever pump you have.

Or You can get an fittings welded on the pump end and the rack end and have a hose mode to length

I believe it's been said in the sticky threads in the Swaps section for... oh... a decade now...
Custom lines need to be run to use the JDM pump. It's really not very difficult to do, or too expensive to pay a shop to do (and seeing as the car is still drivable without power steering, getting it to a shop isn't too tough.)
I had a shop do my swap, and they did a very sloppy (but effective) setup. I'll try to grab a picture of it later.

stutla22- It seems like your H22 came out of a 5th gen accord. If you notice, your p/s pump has a P0A sticker on it, that's a 94-97 Accord pump. A true 92-96 prelude pump will have P11 on it. So the prelude line you bought would be for a P11 pump. Keep in mind the p/s brackets are diff too, so you couldn't just slap on a P11 pump onto your current bracket and go. You'd need a 92-96 Prelude USDM or JDM H22 p/s bracket (P13) and P11 pump. Then you could use your prelude line no problem.

Or have that "P0A" p/s end (at the pump) welded to your original CB p/s line maybe and leave the prelude line alone. Or if you don't care, cut up the prelude line and weld the P0A fitting to that. Either or, up to you. You have a a few options there. Some cheaper than others. Welding the P0A fitting to your original CB line would be the cheapest IMO. EDIT: also keep in mind the entire F22A p/s setup can be fitted onto the H22 as well, not the prettiest but it works, wasn't sure if you knew. Usually ends up hitting the hood slightly on some setups though.

My Head says 96 on it. I actually have a 93 prelude pump and bracket, I grinded the back of it down and it fit. But tryed belts that i had and they were to loose. I have f22a pulley on. Could I just go to local auto parts store and try different size belts? Only thing is the pump was left on the side of my garage in the rain for months. But turns fine. Using the pump shown in picture the belt can tighten up. Pulley is bigger and a further distance out.
