ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    Honda accord year swap

I currently have a 1991 Honda accord LX manual. My friend may be giving up her honda accord 1992 automatic very cheaply to me. Are most of the parts interchangable besides the doors? Could I in theory swap my engine parts to the other accord? I would like to keep my old car as a parts car but use most of my engine since it is pretty good condition but the outside of my car is not so much.

Let me know what you guys think

90-93 is the same generation. Only a few things different from 90 91 to 92 93

engine parts into the other accord should be fine. If you are transferring body panels, you'll need to match the year to match the style (bumper, side mouldings, fenders, headlights... but you're keeping the 92 exterior i presume so you don't need to worry about that!). but interior and engine bay should be all same to swap!

Your "except the doors" comment would lead some to believe that one of these cars is a coupe and the other a sedan. Since you did not clarify you'll understand why no one can give you the help you want.

Oh you're so very right. I should be more thorough when writing a thread. My apologies.

              My accord:

I was just seeing how far swapping parts would go.I honesty, I wanted her body because it was not crunched in with the quarter panel. It has two doors that are messed up but I figured I could replace or bondo those doors easier than fixing my dent.

I want to know what can be swapped interchangeable

              Interior//
              Dash, door motor, seats, etc

              exterior//

On the interior anything swaps (assuming they have the same amount of doors, you still haven't clarified if we're talking coupes or sedans)
Edit: the console, shifter, pedal assembly, etc have to match the trans your using

On the outside you can pretty much swap anything as well you will just need to swap whole sections rather than individual parts. (whole front clip rather than just the bumper, things like that)

Like everyone said, swapping engine parts shouldnt be a problem as long as you're not dealing with the transmission; one being a manual and the other an automatic. Swapping body parts is dependable, but might not have a perfect fit.
