ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Slicks

I'm looking into to buy a set of either full slick or semi/street slicks and was wondering if anybody had any input on any brand or full slicks over semi/street slicks. They would mount on my itrs'.

And what is a good price range for them. Balling on a budget

    I run Hoozier

    Well worth it.

15" is the best option for our chassis. People will tell you their opinions as well. My guess will be 24.5" size is common, and X whatever width will be specific to preferences/experience.

Full slick is easier on your drive train so if you are concerned with breaking axles, don't run a drag radial. Sizing will depend on your setup.

Also, most fwd guys run M&H or Mickey Thompson

        Mickey Thompsons are good tires.

I run hoosier, but that's on a dsm. Guess I should've mentioned that

bang per buck m&h slicks in a 23" are good for moderate n/a cars and low power turbo car and the 24.5's are good on high power n/a and moderate power boosted cars. i can attest to the drag radials vs full slicks. the radials tend to wheel hop a little on my car. i just recently tried a set of the m&h 23" slicks and got a 1.78 60ft but got shut down before i could finish the run, somebody made a hell of a mess with an old SBC power foxbody. oiled the whole track and shortly after it started to sprinkle so i went home.

I've only tried M&H's, but both pairs have been great for the track.
I ran 23" (which I actually just sold today) with 300ish whp and now I run a 24.5".
