ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Have you tried the search feature yet?

    Here's one method.

    http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthre...ht=Distributor

You can also gut the OBD2 distributor and use your internals from your SOHC distributor.

I have the f22a1 wire harness but the problem is that the motor is odb2 the car I odb1 and I'm trying to get it running so I can get a job to further do things right for the motor.. The F20b tec is already in the car.. Btw it's an 92 lx coupe .. I'd like to know what I have to do. Read that some splicing has to happen..NP I'm all for it but need to know how and what to do.. The dizzy and everything else because I'm doing this myself

the h22a and f20b are exactly alike as far as wiring harness swapping. then you add your oBd2 issue and thats that. so go at it like it was an oBd2 H22a.

Lemme guess... you got the F20B because it was cheaper, and you wanted to be different, right?
You're going to want to get an OBD1 distributor (or get creative with what you have, as Jarrett suggested). You'll also want OBD1 injectors, as the OBD2 injectors are different.

What do you plan to use for an ECU?

Thank you @illinois_erik I understand that but insufficient funds at the moment, I'd like to try and work with what I have tho.. Can I do that?

@deevergote.. No sir.. It was a gift.. Have friends that have friends so they bought me the motor, had no idea that I was obtaining an F20b.. So I'm going to have to get creative with what I have, I'd like to anyway because I have no $$$.. The ecu is p28 chipp basemap .. Injector wires already spliced so that part is done.. I'm stuck at the dizzy, what to do now?

Ah, ok. Can't argue with free!

The easiest thing to do would be to find a distributor for a 92-95 Prelude VTEC. It'll bolt right up. If your car is a 92-93, it'll plug right in, too.
Also, that basemap may or may not be good... I'm not a fan of generic maps, personally. You'd be wise to have the ECU properly tuned for your engine once you have everything running.

You can do as Jarrett said and attempt to use your F22A dizzy internals... but honestly, I'd find a way to get the OBD1 H22 dizzy. It's the most direct way of addressing your problem, and the least likely to get messed up. Splicing wires or swapping internals could cause any number of problems.

You could always clan up the F20B dizzy so it looks brand new. Go to Autozone and buy a dizzy for a 94 Prelude VTEC. Then return the F20B dizzy in the same box, saying you don't need it.
It's shady as hell, and you'll probably be screwing someone over (as Autozone will most certainly just put that back on the shelf as-is)... but it's an option.

Ok... That's a bit too shady for me so I'll have to wait to get the dizzy then in the meanwhile what's the correct steps.. Even tho I have spliced the injector wires theirs .. Ill private message you

You're only halfway done on the injectors. You need to remove the injector resistor box on the driver's side shock tower. There's a DIY guide on here that explains how to do so.

                          For the distributor again:

                          http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthre...ighlight=Dizzy

It would have been easier to find had you and everyone else that feels the need to shorten words into cool little colloquial terms not done so.

You just shattered my whole universe. Autozone dizzy's aren't trustworthy. Do it at napa at least.

Yeah, but Napa usually hires guys with some technical knowledge. Autozone often employs people that are verging on mentally challenged status!
