ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

When talking about the Apexi ws2 system everybody seems to forget to mention that the muffler is a chambered rather than a straight through design. Thats the reason its so quiet but its no good for performance.
I've heard the RS*R are also fairly quiet but are straight thru muffler so should give better performance, however they are getting difficult to get a hold of.

Im thinking of buying the Yonaka brand exhaust found on ebay, its really cheap but still looks like it'd be reasonably quiet. but I'd also like to know whether the muffler is straight or baffled..

      There's always the varex system.

Idk if there's a full kit for a cb but the twin tip mufflers go for $500 on ebay.

It has a chambered ( stock ) setting to full blown zero resistance for racing and the valve is fully adjustable to any angle for any range of sound and performance.

They do not offer any angled tips.

Id like to give one of these a go when I have the means to need such a cool package.

best bang for your buck is getting a no name ebay catback and chopping the muffler and weld a better muffler on

Ok. I'll probably keep looking on local CL to see if I can get a good deal on an aftermarket muffler or something.

I did in a video what 92accordex said. I got a fairly cheap ebay N1 style exhaust with a baffle. At first, I didn't use the baffle, but when I finished my swap, it became lous as f#@k!

Just a temp fix until I can gather more funds for a better system...

theres a site (mandrelexhaustsystems) that mandrel bends mild and stainless steel, like 2" thru 3" for our cars. they can weld in a magnaflow 14" or 18" resonator, add your own muffler. all flanges and hangers welded in. the price was $195.00 2.5 Inch, 304 Stainless Steel and the resonators were 75 and 85 extra respectively. thats the route im going for the swap car. and a dual tip vibrant muffler. and i might weld in 1 extra resonator or glasspack. if i can find a place locally that can tig all my stainless.

i love my varex. but the best exhaust i had before it was a kteller piping kit with vibrant ultra quiet resonator, vibrant 2.5" in/out 6" barrel muffler and a vibrant dual tip stealth muffler.

                            $200 for piping
                            $75 for ultra quiet resonator
                            $90 for 2.5"in/out 6" round muffler
$125 for stealth dual tip muffler
with welding probably $550. thats about the same price as a magnaflow, cheaper than a real apexi ws2 and way better sounding than a megan racing or ebay exhaust.
