Not sure about Tein Coilovers...Stiff enough?

I am looking at getting some Tein Street Basis coilovers.

Here are the spring rates:
Front Spring Rate of 6/336 kg/in
Rear Spring Rate of 5/280 Kg/in

My tires are:
215/45/17

I am uneducated in how much stiffness I need so is this good for being able to lower the car as much as possible. Will I need stiffer spring rates or is that stiff enough to be able to autocross with while keeping the car low?

First you need to look at cars that are doing Autocross events. None of these cars are as low as they can go. If your serious about Autocross you'll do some homework on suspension tuning instead of asking how low can you go based on spring rates.....

Also, Spring "Stiffness" isn't just what you need to be looking at.
Dampening has a huge effect on handling.

You will want something with adjustable damping.

For the money there is really only one choice. But I will let you seek it out on your own.

I decided to wait a bit and get K sport control pro coilovers, stiff ride, like I want and and a lot of room for adjustment :] Anyone know what these are like to live with? I am getting mixed reviews from other forums.

Dont get K Sports. You want to do auto-X you need quality dampers. I take back my statement... there are 2 correct choices. Both of which have actual experience with racing; one of which is pretty much the go to manufacturer for legit budget racers. Neither has "16" or "32" levels of damping. Both cost about the same or less than K-Sports, but are significantly...

My setup is tein street basis and i love them, they are not super stiff like i think youd want for autocross and the drop is only about 3in rear and something like 3.5 in the front. Something you have to decide when getting coilovers is if you want stance or performance, usually its hard to find both in one set of coilovers. So if you want your car slammed then go with ksports, but if you want performance go with teins, but not the street basis save up some more to get the adjustable dampening its worth it!!
