Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    I don't think any of those stuffs will last on the boot.
    But, why not,,,,,,, try them,,,,,

      Anyone else have an alternative remedy for a split boot, Anyone?

        I have replaced a couple boots. Cut the bands with side cut pliers and slide it off with the outer tie rod off. Zipties should hold the new one on just fine.
        ......father in law has it back again. Time to shine

          They make metal zip ties too. Should be able to reboot it without taking the power steering off again. Just go through the tire well.

            oyajcool, you were right, it has not leak.
            I nailed this job yesterday and took it in to have alignment done. It takes a lot of time and patients. I had to drop my entire down pipe all the way to my muffler, it was not as bad as I thought it would be.
            The DIY sticky help out to a certain degree, but needs to upgraded or revise.
            Thanks to all that gave back positive feedback, much appreciated.

              Good for you, the job is done.

              I had done a R/R of the rack on a Civic a few years back. It wasn't fun job. Greasy and cramped under the car.

              If the DIY was lacking in some degree, you could try write your own, a new and improved version.

                Did you replace the bushings on the tie rod before you put it back together? Im asking because I am in the same situation as you and will be ordering parts soon.
