ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Passenger front bearing.

I have a bad front passenger wheel bearing and it resonates way to much. Like, you know those tiny speed bump things before stop signs? Well the sound those make when going over them is what I hear from 30-75mph. I have a new hub and bearing but my problem is I can't get the damn caliper off..
I've used liquid wrench, even tried jumping on the wrench. I don't want to use fire for fear of warping my rotor.. Any ideas? Btw the shop wants 900$ to do this.

First make sure your rotating the bolt the right way. I don't care if you think you know, Look directly at the bolt and lefty loosy righty tighty. I been doing this for years and I get messed up if the orientation is wrong.

Maybe try and tighten it very little to break it, then pop it loose. If not then heat the sucker, no harm.

But honestly, I don't think I remember even taking off my caliper. are you trying to remove the caliper, or the caliper with the bracket? I cant imagine that ALL the bolts that hold it on are stuck. If the caliper to the sliding pins are stuck, take off the main bolts that hold it to the knuckle, if the knuckle bolts are stuck then just take the caliper bolts that's attached to the sliding pins off.
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

    Retro!

You should be removing caliper and bracket at the 17mm bolts to the knuckle. If you have an impact gun you could remove the brakeline and take the knuckle/caliper off at the same time then work on the bracket. Wd40, tap it lightly, foward and back with a socket, and hit the knuckle around the bolt with a hammer, more Wd40, impact, more Wd40. Wait and remove. Remember to bleed your brakes if you take off your brake line.
