ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    pulsating idle

ok ladies and gents, I have this pulsating idle it pulses between 1000 and 1500. I thought it was an exhaust leak. nope. fitv was deleted. I put a new tps, new iacv, last year from az. it went away when I deleted fitv but then it came back took the IM apart and resealed. it starts fine, but then I drive around push the clutch in and brake to slow down then it starts to pulse. oh this is all on an H22a. I have no clue what else to check.

Check for vac leaks. Mine is leaking at the intake mani to head seal, the person who owned the car before me tried reusing the intake gasket when he install the new motor.

You might also try cleaning the IACV. I did that with mine and it worked.

            Check your coolant level

Try checking your coolant level. I know it sounds wierd, but I had this issue on both of my cb7 Accords (1993 10 year Anniversary Edition a/t, 1990 DX a/t). When the coolant temp sensor relays inconsistent readings, the engine will serge as you described. Let me know if this helps at all. (Make sure you wait until the engine is completely cooled, obviously lol)

ok this is an update I cleaned out my IVAC and EGR. and spayed carb cleaner on all vac. lines and manifold, tb, and even seafoamed the system by vac induction and in the fuel. And the problem is still there with erratic idle( surging idle, pulsating idle). I need some serious help. Or more info on this.

Maybe you should reinstall the FITV.

Coolant level may appear normal/full at the filler neck, but the system may have air in it. Which may cause idle speed surge issue. So, make sure that here's no air in the system by opening the bleed valve while the engine is cool.

When the engine is cool or warmed up atleast one cycle? i've frequently read to properly bleed the cooling system you must wait until fans come on after initial start up. that way you know the system has reaach a full cycle..

i ask because i also have "bouncing" idle. i followed all steps to check for cause. even took apart the intake manifold and hand cleaned it pretty good.

                      im out of ideas..

More than likely you'd need to follow the instruction #8 on.
You want to start doing this while the system is COOL or there's no pressure build up in the system to avoid injury/burn.

Thanks for the info on coolant bleed. I did it about two days ago and it seemed to work, but I will keep you guys up to date.

Does the EVAP have anything to do with it?
