ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Just learning to drive it proper for mpg will probably give the biggest benefit.

But some fairly easy things you can do:

      Full tune-up
      Air up tires, try 35-40psi
Replace tires with low rolling resistance ones
Front lip + lower car (aero)

      92 Accord LX Coupe Build
      91 Prelude H22a Build
      91 Prelude 4WS ALB Build
You can't rationalize cars like these. They're not something you buy with your head, you buy them with your heart because you love them, and who can explain love?

What do you mean "low rolling resistance ones"?

Along with the air pressure, a great alignment done goes a long way in gas mileage. Replacing your worn suspension parts then having an alignment done will give you the best starting point.

the higher the mileage = the looser the engine turns which is best for mileage. the bad thing is that the seals are old.

use thinner weight oil but becareful.

probably put a different final drive and drive slower to keep the rpms down.

Warm your car up to FULL operating temp before driving.
I see alot of people who dont do this because newer cars you dont have to sit and wait like oldder ones.
Hit the middle temp line or wait until idle fully drops then go.I notice i waste less gas this way instead of driving while its cold

You sure? I always thought it was cars older than CBs that need to be warm before driving. I thought with the Fuel Injection and O2 sensors they kinda handled the mixing and what not, where as the carb'd cars were the ones that needed to be warmed up before driving.

while you are "warming" up your car you are getting ZERO mpg.

yes but when the car is at op temp you get a little better compression because the pistons and rings have expanded to fit the cylinder better.

proper valve adjustment is often over looked and can make quite a difference. later.
