ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    Tail light (inner) not operating!

    93 Accord LX

I have a problem with the inner tail lights on my accord. Two bulbs in there, one is double filament (works), another is single filament (not working) and on both sides of the car they are not getting power. I tested with a voltmeter (green/blk wire coming to the single filament bulb to ground) and no power coming through (I get 10.8V on the red/blk coming to double filament). I checked fuses but might have missed something. The lights work everywhere else.

This is a problem on both sides and so I am thinking something is wrong elsewhere and not bulbs or the wiring in these taillights.

    Any suggestions?

Have you test the "little brown boxes" on the back of the outer tails?

I'm not exactly sure where the inner tail lights tie in with the rest.. iirc, its at the antenna.. someone else will chime in.

      Wiring diagram

Check diagram above to aid in troubleshooting. You know the power is not coming in. That's a start. Good luck.

          Additional info

Thanks for the diagram, I also noticed the single filament in the brake lights will not go on when headlights are turned on. Meaning these all single filaments bulbs are the running lights when I turn my headlights on. So now I suspect a fuse, but not sure which is out. I checked all the brake light and head light fuses. I'll go over it again.

I still say check the brown boxes on your tailights. Those are often the reason for a lot of lighting issues.

I did check the stop failure relays per manual and they work fine, manual states that if they were the problem the ground would be bounced off of them and would activate the brake failure lamp on the dash.

Again, all single filament bulbs are out. Still can't fin a good diagram that shows the single filament bulb with a green black wire running to them for power, I even have the supplemental electrical book and nothing. Checked all fuses too.

Do you have front marker lights working?

Something is odd on Haynes diagram on post #4, I think.

It's missing a black dot. Can someone comment on this?

Well I wish I could answer that, just started taking apart the dash to fix rust in the airscoop/firewall. As soon as that is patched, I will let you know if the markers are working.

                    I feel dumb.

The single filaments were for back-up and turn signals. Everything works just fine except my brain.

The wiring diagram shows marker light bulbs as single filament bulbs, too.

In any case, you say they are working. So, they must be working!!!
