ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    92 accord no start??

Hello I am new here and couldn't find the same issue I am having. My 92 accord won't start. There is spark and fuel, I put a new FP relay in. There are no codes showing. I don't know what else to check. Could the key switch be giving me an issue?

    Thanks for any help..
    Mike

Did you happen to read this to see if that may be your issue?

I had an issue where my battery terminals were corroded. It had enough juice to turn the engine over, but not enough to start it. After spending $300 on a new starter and battery, only to get the same result, I cleaned the cable connections... started right up.

If you're getting both spark and fuel for certain, then the next thing to check is that you're getting a strong enough spark.

This response was made without following Jarrett's link, so I apologize if I'm saying the same thing.

I saw that thread, and it doesn't pertain to me. I have a automatic. It also rolls over fine, it just won't start. Fuel and spark are fine. The relay is new, and was tested on my parts car.

Check your battery and ground connections. Make sure they're all tight and clean.

If he is getting both spark and fuel then the Main Relay is out of the question I presume? He did say FP Relay= Fuel Pump Relay?

If there is spark and fuel then it has to be the timing. You didn't really say why it stopped running. Did you do any work? Are the plug wires on in the right order?

The car ran great. Just went to start it this morning and no go. I will check the battery connections tomorrow.

Yes, that would most likely be the same thing.
We actually call our "fuel pump main relay" the "main relay" incorrectly. There is another "main relay" that controls many of the electric accessories, such as power locks and windows, in our cars.

Looks like I just learned a new meaning in my dictionary.
I would definitely go over your ground and power connections just to make sure on that side of the problem.
Have you done any type of work that may have caused a jump in timing belt or even a distributor removed?

I would also check the distributor cap and rotor and depending if you have an internal or external coil that as well.
