Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    bumper and hood questions

    i found out that my car had been wrecked before i got it. i dont know what all i need to do so my hood will sit right and my bumper will be flush like it should have been.

    We can't access links to items in your gmail account...

    Any CB hood will fit. They are all the same.
    The bumper, headlights, and grille are all dependent on each other... Those three items must all be either from a 90-91 model, or a 92-93 model for perfect fitment. It doesn't matter which your car is... it'll all bolt up to any model.

    Chances are, you'll have to pull/bend/weld some parts to make everything go back together properly. Not a terribly easy task for someone with no experience and tools for the job.

      Please read the sticky on how to properly post pictures on this site. Since that means you likely didn't read any of the rules either, go back and have a gander at those as well.

        You will also want to check to see if the bumper support was replaced and if the area where it attaches was fixed. The core support might also be bent. It's all easy to check for, simply look at the area and you'll see the damage if it is still there.

          Depending on what type of collison that happened will depend on the amount of work being done.

          I ran into a chrysler 300 with massive rims and the guy got out and said he didnt have insuruance, i smelled weed and could see atleast four other guys in the car, he took off and left me with a mangled hood, front cross member and broken headlight housing.

          In philly they do not respond to fender benders. I took the opportunity to fix it myself.

          Depending on where the original collision was will determine what you need to fix. If only the hood, headlights and front support got damaged you should be fine.

          If anything underneath was damaged such as the front lower cross member and/or the powersteering rack cross member then you may need to have the frame pulled or just pull up to a tree with chains attached and reverse

            Wow, I'd have called the cops on that guy for a hit and run... fender benders, maybe not... but he hit you and took off, and was clearly intoxicated. Then again, perhaps not a battle worth fighting.
