ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Yes. This made me think. How does the computer have the correct resistance when we run vtec wires for a swap. What if honda uses 16ga wire for 12 feet and I use 18ga for 6 feet will there be a diff.
    Prob will work just fine.
    Thanks for the additional info

    steve

now some body will say that the vtec sensor isn't the same as an o2 sensor. Its the point

Who's to say anyone's VTEC wiring works 100% perfectly on here?

Post #39. F22A4 + F22A6 (4-2-1) have o2 sensor on downpipe/rear of engine bay. F22A1 (4-1) is the only setup w/ o2 right on the manifold. This all has to do w/ 4-2-1 VS. 4-1, the collector location determines where the o2 is located on our obd1 cars.

Ah, yes! Thank you for the correction; I've edited my post to reflect it. I even knew this, I just got them mixed up. http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthre...10#post3075610

Thanks for all of the help everybody! I was actually thinking. Since the a4 has a 4-2-1 header. Would I be able to just replace the stock header with the aftermarket one? And just leave my stock downpipe so I don't have to worry about the o2 sensor?

If you are replacing with the dc header you can replace the whole thing. The o2 sensor is in the same place as the a4 in the downpipe.
So you won't have any issues like I did with extending the 02 sensor.
              Sorry If I confused you.

I had forgotten that this DC header was for a Prelude S. B/C it's a 4-2-1 header, we could almost bet that the o2 could be on the downpipe in the stock A6/A4 location. Is this header still up for grabs? You need to find out exactly where the bung is, it may not be on the header itself. DC header + A4 dp could be possible as long as the flanges/stud pattern are the same and the pipes line up nicely for flow. Regardless, I would still grab the header, those are good quality.

Technically, the header includes the "downpipe". There is no mixing of parts.

well to clear the air since i have the a4 the o2 sensor is in the same location on the down pipe as the dc one.

I have an ebay header on my cb from the previous owner although I have the f22a6 i feel that the header is of poor quality and lacks good engineering. the hole for the bolt on the right side is nearly impossible to get to, I am not sure about most name brand headers but on these ebay shit headers the header's holes are threaded while the down pipes wholes are not. I'd rather have neither thread to make my life easy. I am considering buying a new header since this header seems to be prone to blowing out gaskets. I've went through two since I've owned the car, mind you I have only put about 50 miles since I bought the car back in october it is my project car/girlfriends car

                      just my $0.02
