ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Penzoil is the only oil i use, i used it on my f22 when had it with a 140xxx too 240xxx, motor ran 100%, no problems, change oil every 2900 miles. iv read about penzoil and done my research, its not a bad oil at all. all my friends use it and are motors are fine, i just tor down my f22 and shit was clean for 240xxx, now i have a jdm h22 with penzoil. sometimes ill run my H a quart low, if im going to street race.
Synthetic doesnt destroy seals, but it is very thin oil, which if you have seals with many miles on it, and small oil leaks, the oil will piss out of it.
My opion on this oil, and if u want to see the bottom of my f22 and the top i have no problems sending pictures,

WRONG 5w-30 is thinner, then 10w-30. My fault. idk what i was thinking
also your suppose to run 5-30 during the cold weather, and 10-30 for the hot days.Last edited by Bryans 90accord; 09-13-2012, 11:17 AM.

Viscosity index 5 is thinner than index 10.
You want thinner oil during winter to help lubricate at cold start up.A&P-IA

" The SAE classifications characterises the viscosity at low and high temperature of the lubricant. The grade is given by two numbers separated by the letter W (meaning winter).
The first number, followed by W represents the low temperature viscosity, 5W, 10W, 15W... the lower this number, the more fluid at low temperature the oils, the easier the engine starts.
The second number gives the high temperature viscosity: 30, 40, 50. The higher this number, the more viscous the oil when hot.

So I guess Pennzoil's got some vouches now....and now everybody's now discussing weight. But it still boils down to preference. I use 10W-30 simply because if I do ever have a leak it won't leak as quickly. But I live in North Florida now and not Virginia, so I may go down to a 5W-30 since the winters here are very mellow. I'm actually possibly moving to Orlando, so if that happens I'm definitely going to lower my weight.

Why would you want your engine low on oil when you're pushing it to the limit?Last edited by Leung; 09-13-2012, 12:40 PM.
