ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Royal Purple Synthetic or Castrol Edge Synthetic?

Honestly, unless your engine is built for high performance, you don't need any fancy oil to keep it properly lubricated. With our basic engines, a good synthetic will do no more than increase the amount of safe miles between oil changes.
Royal Purple is very good, by their reputation.
Castrol's German synthetic is very good (better than their US offerings, according to my STi-driving friend, who agonizes over his car's maintenance, and gets an oil analysis with every change... always good results in the analysis.)
I use Shell synthetic in my 09 Fit (10,000 miles between changes, driven hard, running for 10-15 hours straight, at least 5 days a week... currently at 268,000 miles.), my 06 CTS-V (96,000 miles running strong, though the first oil change since I bought it was done yesterday... I choose Shell over the factory suggested Mobil1.) and my CB7 with a 160,000 mile 1994 H22 in it (also never had problems.)

I run Rotella T it's a great break in oil, high mileage oil, holds up good under a beating. It has a good % of ZDDP additives in the oil and it's cost friendly at just under $14 a gallon the only down side is cold start up's in the winters other than that IMO best bang for my buck.
I also use Mobile 1 full synthetic and on occasion amsoil, but it's costly.

probably switch it to amsoil before i store it for the winter.
As for amsoil i used that in my mirage and that car took one heck of a beating ever second of it's life although it's pretty expensive aswell i'd run amsoil over royal purple.
