ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    race vs sport springs?

is there a big difference between race and street springs?
will race springs be to rough to dirve on the street where the ground is not the best.... or will sport springs be stiff enough for the ride to feel better bu not so stiff that ur gettin beat up by ur seat

It depends on the brand, how stiff the coil is, and what dampers you are using.
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

usually race springs are stiffer than street springs but like accordztech said, it depends on the brand on how stiff each one is

Well, the only major brands that offer springs called "Race" and "Sport" are Neuspeed and H&R. Race is lower and stiffer.

I had H&R Race on my car, and I just replaced them with Neuspeed Sport. I prefer the higher, softer ride. My car isn't a race car yet.

Firstly what are you looking for from the springs? Are you going for the feel of the ride or actual purpose. Will you be doing track days, auto x, etc.?

If you are going for stiffness then as deev said H&R or Neuspeed are your best bet. Also take into consideration to swap your shocks as well. Fully adjustables or an aftermarket shock is best.

You can find a ton of info in the suspension section. This topic is purely based on a persons preference.

You're asking advice from educated adults, please type like an adult yourself. It gets irritating replying to someone that's too lazy to type a 3 letter word.

Koni Yellows, Koni Reds (not worth the trouble), and Tokico Illuminas are the only 3 "off the shelf" shocks that will handle the majority of the springs on the market. You MIGHT be able to get away with Koni STR.T (orange) with the Neuspeed or H&R Sport springs, but definitely not the Race models.

As said, read the "sticky" threads in the suspension section. That will give you a lot of useful information to make your own decision.
