ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    90 accord transmission code 15

I'm an 18 yr old that loves hondas and classic trucks. Can't get enough of them. I have a 1990 that seems to have alot of transmission issues. I replaced the TCU about a year ago and it was runnning fine but the s light came on from time to time. Last week s light came on and i checked the code and we came up with a code 8 which was the shift solenoid b and we changed it. Then we cleared the codes and test drove it and still wouldn't shift right but there was no s light. We checked the code again and got code 15. So we swapped the NM sensor from my 92 and that didn't fix it. We then put the NM sensor from the 90 in the 92 and the 92 ran just fine so we assumed the senspr was good. We then checked the continuity from sensor to the TCU and appears that there is not a break or a short in the wiring. At this point we are at a dead end and don't know where to go next. Now i'm wondering that my TCU is bad again. When i put the 92 into the 90 it still didn't shift right. We then put the 90 into the 92 it didn't shift right either. We put the TCU's back into the original cars. The 92 shifts right but the 90 still doesn't shift right and i still am getting code 15.

So today I got my new TCU. I unhooked the battery cable and put the new TCU in and it still is stuck in 4th gear. The sport light doesn't blink but when I check the codes I still am getting code 15....Where do I go from here??

Started with the NM sensor and checked the ohms and it was 537, also checked it at the plug to the TCU and it also was 537 and we reset the computer and drove it and it still isn't shifting right with no S light. We then checked the code and got 15. What could cause this problem that keeps giving me this code? Could it be possible if my re-manufactured TCU is bad? Is there anyway to check that?

If the TCU and the sensor are both known to be good, then you should check the wiring between the two. There is likely a short somewhere.

I still need some help on this, I have double checked the wires all the way to the TCU plug, they show good.
Is there another sensor that could be bad?
Could I have a another problem that would cause my new TCU to go bad.

I had the TCU rebuild shop send me another TCU, I installed it and reset the codes, I still get a code 15 NM sensor. I have swithed sensors, checked the ohms, shows good, check the wireing to TCU all shows good. What is the NM sensor reading ( or sensoning) in the transmission, could it be a problem on the gear or shaft inside the housing the NM sensor bolts to??
