You do realize that oil capacity isn't always based on the size of the oil pan alone. There other factors, such as oil wells in the head. These wells hold oil to help lubricate the cam and valve train. They differ in volume from head to head. You also have to take into account the VTEC system holds a bit of oil as well. The oil that is held in the wells stays there all the time. If you have ever taken the valve cover off of the head and removed the cam you would know what I'm talking about. that is why the overhaul and oil change capacities are different as well.
For example, the F22B1 requires 5.6l of oil on an overhaul where the F22B2 only requires 4.9l. The difference has to do with the size of the camshaft oil well and the addition of the VTEC system.
Besides, part numbers are part numbers.... I can't change them!
