ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Assuming they're on par with Autozone's or O'Reilly Auto Parts' house brand, then that's a good deal. Locally, those two shops want $57 a piece (before tax) on a single arm; that auction is a few bucks less than that, tax free, and for two arms. Again, this is assuming these are of the same quality; bushings and ball joints being the two pieces to be concerned about. They only have a 1 year warranty, though; the two local chains have lifetime warranties.

It would be better to get a quality part from Moog (rockauto.com apparently has a good price) or get Honda OEM..

Quality suspension parts are important, your life depends on them.

I've never bought any suspension parts off ebay, mainly because I don't trust most companies on there. But the price is a really good deal.

I would put prothane bushings and a spc camber kit in the stock arm, are yours bent?

          This.

I've said it before... if a part can kill you if it fails, you do not want to go cheap!
I used cheap upper control arms once. Fortunately I removed them before they failed... but after about a year, the rubber was brittle, the joint felt like it had play, and I don't expect they'd have lasted much longer. If that ball joint fails, or the anchor bolts fail (I had a cheap camber kit that replaced them fail on me... BAD.) then you could lose control and crash. Chances are good that it will happen at high speed, and without warning.

          Get quality. Install them properly.

I got just got and installed these When I opened them up I was surprised at the quality. They even had hard rubber caps over the ball joints to protect them. The quality seemed good enough. If you're low on money, I wouldn't be afraid of getting them. They have a top seller rating at 99.8%.

You're item has 248 sold, I don't think people would buy them if they were junk.

And feedback is given very shortly after the sale, not a year from the date of purchase when they fail and put the car in a ditch.

I wouldn't trust that shit on my car if my life depended on it... because, well... it does!

Yeah, by cheaping out on parts that are necessary for you to control your car, you're not only risking yourself and your passengers, but also anyone else that might be in your path.

If that is the case, then there should be a lawsuit against the makers of cheap suspension parts, and they should be taken out of the market.

Should be, I agree. But alas, that's not how it is. There IS a standard by which parts need to meet, but plenty of seriously inferior parts seem to find their way to the market anyway. Also, if they're made in a foreign country, and sold by someone in a foreign country... it's a very gray area as to what standards they have to meet!

It's unfortunate, but we'll have to continue thinking for ourselves for a while.
