ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

EDIT: excess vibration may occur with solid mounts, just a heads up!

Dude I did this to my old CB7 and holy balls batman. I got the mid level one last time and this next time Im only going with the softest possible. I dont see why I would want my steering wheel and dash shaking like a race car ever again.

Get 60 shore urethane from mcmaster carr, or maybe 40 if you're really concerned about nvh. You can also drill them out partially or not fill them in all the way if you want them more compliant.

Different trim levels and transmissions came with different mounts and brackets, they only way to know for sure will be to look in your car, especially since it's swapped and who knows what mounts they used? Filling your current mounts avoids any confusion, as you know they're the right mounts.

$255!? Order urethane from McMaster, it's $33 and shipping. If you don't want your car out of commission while they're curing (2 days, longer if you do them one at a time...) get some from the junkyard and fill those. Using shore 40 and/or not filling completely/drilling them out partially avoids any significant increase in nvh over stock.

Dothe mcmastercarr motormounts and the them yourself. After using 94 shore when I have my two accords I never had to change the motormounts ever again.

This is pretty much all you need to know.
Cheap aftermarket replacement mounts should be fine for a short while, if you can be certain what mounts you need. It's always tough to figure out someone else's custom work, unfortunately, and it can be frustrating to wrestle with a mount that simply doesn't fit! If you had a stock engine, it would be easier.

Anyway, the vibration is pretty irritating, but the drilling should help some. If your car is lowered and you have an exhaust, it's likely a pretty harsh driving environment anyway, so a little extra vibration won't matter THAT much! Plus, it's cheap... so if you don't like it, you're only out $35 or so, and a few days.

I thought the h22 was was drop in....so would the mounts be the same for a f22...but I can tell the mounts Iwas looking at are the wrong ones and it doesn't shake it's like in 2nd and 3rd gear when I let of of give it gas it jerks its weird

The H22 is "bolt in", and uses the same mounts as an F22, but there are still a few different combos of Accord motor mounts and brackets that it could be, for example there were different mounts in the EX auto than the manual DX because Honda decided to put a hydraulic mount in. The different shaped mounts necessitated a different bracket. So you can use ANY mount you want, as long as you have the associated bracket (I think. This is referring to the rear mount, the others are all identical.) Weird stuff.

Jerking when transitioning from coasting to load is almost def a torn mount, revving it with the hood up would let you watch it move. Fill 'em up!
