ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

F22b dohc, what plugs and wires work best???

F22b with some bullshit autozone h23 wires... Only lasted 2 months..
This is not the first time this has happend either... Last one only lasted a few weeks..
So i would like to know what company to go with and the right plugs for it aswell...
And the gap would be awesome too...

It's been the general consensus for a while now that OEM-spec stuff is the way to go with plugs and wires. If you've had two failures already I would go with OEM NGK plugs and NGK wires. I have the NGK HE-57 wires with the NGK ZFR6F-11 plugs. They've worked very well for me.

OEM Sumitomo wires are the best you'll find.

Is that OEM for h23 or f22a?

I'm not sure. Whatever ones will fit the F22B properly, OEM Sumitomo is the way to go.

There's a reason I try to avoid motor swaps that didn't come in the US!

O I see you just meant brand wise those are good

But yes motor swaps can be a slight hassle but with this kind of site we can get passed it

It's not so much a performance gain issue with good plugs and wires but a loss issue with stuff that's not up to par.

Deev is right in that Sumitumo probably makes the best stuff for the F22A and likely other Honda engines of that vintage. They're just prohibitively expensive in my mind. They're $15.97 a piece on Majestic's website. The coil wire is $17.50. A set of the NGK wires I posted earlier is $42. Still expensive compared to parts store prices but they're very good.

So Sumimoto vs NGK are 2 most recommended brands. I have test the resistance on them and Sumimoto has almost twice the resistance vs NGK. So which ones are better? The lower or the higher resistance? If they are most recommended shouldn't they be about the same in resistance? Here's my measurements from my other thread.

There's a thread on Honda Tech that shows the Sumitomos to perform better than any other available wire.

You REALLY don't need to dig up every old thread that talks about wires to link to your other thread. People that want to learn will see your thread. Link to it in your sig if you want it seen.
We now have TWO old-ass threads revived in the Beginner Forums to plug your resistance test. While it is definitely useful info, there are now two less current threads visible on the main page... meaning they're pretty much invisible.

when i personally had the f22b in my car i used h23 plugs and wires. the head is slightly taller on the f22b compared to the f22a if im not mistaken but the f22a ones work perfectly fine as well, because the kid i sold the motor to ended up changing them out with those instead of the h23's like me.

A very noticable enhancement in performance? might be worth a look, also would the coil pack fit/improve over the factory f22a1 coil?
