ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

I ran them, they are ok, really stiff make sure you get a strut that can handle them.
    wat?

They're not much better than any other generic sleeve. The only sleeve I'd truly trust is Ground Control.
And yes, be sure you get a strut that can handle them. Essentially, Koni Yellows or Tokico Illuminas. Nothing else will work safely. DO NOT install sleeves on stock struts... that is incredibly dangerous.

Oh ok. Why is it dangerous to install them on the stock strut? I'm a noob and when it comes to my car id rather learn through here and not the hard way

Beacause the stock struts are bad anyway.

You definitely don't want to learn the hard way when it comes to suspension!

Stock struts, and most aftermarket struts (or shocks... the words are pretty much interchangeable when talking about our cars) are not valved to be lowered, or to run a higher spring rate. Some struts that seem to be upgrades are still not made to be lowered more than 1.5" (which is less of a drop than most of the milder spring options), or used with a spring rate greater than 15% over stock (which, again, most options are greater.)

Those two I mentioned are really the only safe options for anything but a really mild drop (such as Neuspeed or H&R Sport springs). The only other option is a custom-valved Bilstein setup... but Bilsteins are expensive even before being modified!

I would suggest Koni Yellows and Ground Controls, if you want adjustable. I personally don't like adjustable height, since I don't have the need to adjust my height, or the knowledge to do it properly. I'm running Koni Yellows and Neuspeed Sport springs (previously H&R Race... but it was too low for my liking.)
A full coilover setup such as those offered by Tein or Function and Form Autolife may appeal to you as well... though be wary of cheap crap... there's lots of it on the market for our cars.

Better safe than sorry. Do it the right way first and you'll never regret it.

It seems like Megan is a better option for parts when it comes to civics and integras and not accords. Or is it just me?

Megan is just a knockoff "ebay" company. They don't do R&D of their own. They just copy known products using cheaper materials and manufacturing processes. They're among the better knockoff companies, along with OBX and Blox... but still crap compared to real quality. They're the same across the board for any car.
I have a Megan Racing strut bar, a copy of the DC Sports design. Mainly because it's just as functional, and nothing bad will happen if it breaks! For stuff like that, the cheap stuff is just fine. For things that can kill you if they fail, you DEFINITELY don't want to go cheap!

Never do a "good enough for now" suspension setup. If you crash, you could die... or hurt someone. Chances are, at the very least, you'll lose your car and your insurance will go through the roof.
NEVER cheap out on suspension components. Or brakes. Or tires. Ask yourself when buying a part: "if this fails, could I crash?" If yes... don't do it. Even a minor fender-bender is going to be far more expensive than a proper suspension setup.
Only cheap out on engine components if you're willing to risk blowing up your engine.
Cheap out on cosmetic stuff all you want... as long as you don't mind your car looking like crap, or you're willing to put in the work to modify that stuff to make it fit perfectly (I've seen some cars with cheapo parts that looked great.)

Yea this is pretty much my mind set on suspension now. Every time I go to the auto parts store to replace something and the worker asks which part do I want..the cheap one or the Moog one.. I say..do you have anything better than Moog? if not, I'll take the Moog lol

That's the way to do it!
I don't know if there is anything better than Moog short of OEM Honda. I just put some Moog parts on my car (though the fitment wasn't 100%...)
